Aundre Blasingame's journey is a powerful testament to the transformative power of faith, resilience, and a deep-seated desire to build something great. From humble beginnings and a challenging youth, Aundre has risen to become the CEO of Heavenly Catering International (HCI LLC) and the founder of BGAME Coaching, where he empowers entrepreneurs to do business God's way. His story offers invaluable insights for leaders seeking to integrate their faith into their daily operations and personal lives.
Aundre's entrepreneurial spirit ignited early, at 16, baking bread in a sandwich shop. This initial spark led him into the hospitality and food and beverage industry, a path that would eventually see him open a catering company, transform it into a consulting firm, and ultimately coach business individuals across various sectors. His companies, Heavenly Catering International, Flava On A Budget, Urban Chefs and BGAME Coaching, are not just businesses; they are extensions of his faith, designed to impact lives and build a legacy.
For Aundre, faith isn't a Sunday-only affair; it's woven into the fabric of his daily life and leadership. He practices a consistent system of prayer, meditation, and godly counsel. "Prayer is what you're asking God for, and meditation is listening for the answer," he explains. This intentional approach extends to his team, with whom he prays and shares scriptures, integrating Christ's teachings directly into the workplace culture. The very names and logos of his companies, like "Heavenly Catering International" with a cross embedded in its 'T' and angel wings in its logo, boldly declare his faith, ensuring that anyone doing business with him understands his foundation.
Challenges are inevitable in any journey, and Aundre shares a simple yet profound example of how faith has guided him through them: patience. He humorously recounts his tendency to pick the slowest line, whether at the grocery store or exiting a parking lot. What might seem like a minor annoyance, he views as God's way of teaching him patience and protecting him from unseen dangers. He recalls a recent instance where his delayed exit from a parking lot, which initially felt frustrating, prevented him from encountering a major accident on the freeway he would have otherwise taken. This perspective transforms everyday frustrations into opportunities for spiritual growth and trust in divine timing.
For business leaders seeking to integrate their faith into their work, Aundre offers two cornerstone pieces of advice:
These principles help leaders integrate faith and wisdom into their business practices and personal development.
Aundre's personal testimony is a powerful illustration of extraordinary faith. Growing up in an underserved community, losing his mother at 10, and becoming a juvenile delinquent by 16, he harbored deep resentment towards God. Yet, even in his anger, he never stopped talking to Him. It wasn't until college, when he got saved, that he understood his mother's passing not as an act of cruelty, but as God calling His daughter home. This profound shift in perspective transformed his pain into purpose, leading him to a life of incredible blessings, including a successful career as a celebrity and international chef, and the joy of raising incredible children.
His message to those struggling to embrace a big God is simple: "Through that hatred and through that pain and through everything that happened, that trial, there's been nothing but blessings that came from persecution, even when I didn't believe in them." He encourages everyone to keep the faith, exercise patience, and trust that God can work wonders even in the darkest of times.
Aundre's guiding scripture is Corinthians 13:13: "Faith, hope, and charity. Most important of these is charity." He emphasizes that understanding the Greek and Hebrew roots of 'charity' as agape giving the highest form of love. By exercising this "give mentality" in our daily lives, we unlock greater rewards and a more fulfilling existence. "If we start exercising that charity piece... in our daily lives with our fellow men and women... your life will be that much more rewarding and that many more gifts will be available for you, when you go to the Creator."
Aundre Blasingame's journey is a compelling narrative of overcoming adversity, embracing faith, and building a life and business that reflect divine principles. His story challenges us to pray without ceasing, seek wise counsel, and live with extraordinary faith, knowing that a big God can transform any past into a powerful future.
