Brittany Wallenhorst, CEO and Founder of Souls on Fire Network, embodies a powerful blend of corporate acumen and unwavering faith. Her journey reveals a compelling narrative of integrating Christian principles into every facet of life, from her marketplace role as Director of E-commerce to building a global movement connecting Christian entrepreneurs.
In her corporate role, Brittany finds unique opportunities to be a light. She shares how her positive outlook and faith-driven perspective often spark conversations with colleagues. "People don't always understand how I'm always so positive," she explains. This opens doors to share her belief in God's good plan, even with those who may not share her faith, demonstrating the transformative power of a consistent Christian witness in the workplace.
Brittany's faith isn't just a personal belief; it's the bedrock of her professional decisions and leadership style. She carries a 15-page personal mission statement, outlining her core values and 'I Am' statements, which guide her actions in both corporate and entrepreneurial settings. This deep-rooted conviction enables her to navigate challenges and inspire others to reframe their mindsets, reminding them of God's perspective on their worth and potential.
Her approach to career advancement stands in stark contrast to the traditional corporate drive for self-first success. Brittany prioritizes service, echoing Jesus' mission to serve and make disciples. When faced with choices, she asks, "How many people are going to be changed by the decisions that I'm making?" This servant-leadership mindset directs her to opportunities where she can impact the most lives, whether in a boardroom or at a networking event.
Brittany's advice for integrating faith and work is twofold: "Put God first in every single thing that you do" and "be obedient." She emphasizes that obedience often comes with a cost – be it friends, business opportunities, or even relocating – but it always leads to something greater. She encourages individuals to step into their purpose, understanding that their obedience can unlock the potential of others. "Every single time that we don't step into obedience and every single time that we don't step into our purpose, what happens is we stop other people from living into their purpose and their God-given talents."
Beyond her corporate role, Brittany is building a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. She is co-hosting a faith-based podcast aimed at strengthening listeners' confidence in God and helping them step into their calling. Her passion for connecting entrepreneurs led her to establish Souls on Fire Network, a thriving networking group that brings together current and aspiring Christian entrepreneurs.
These events foster collaboration, mentorship, and real-time coaching, helping individuals overcome business challenges and grow their ventures. What started in Charlotte, North Carolina, is now expanding, with a vision for a global movement, hosting networking events in every major city and country.
Currently, God is teaching Brittany a profound lesson in releasing control. Managing a growing global movement while living 550 miles away from its initial hub has necessitated a deep trust in God and her leadership team. She recognizes that she doesn't need to be an expert in everything, instead empowering her team to utilize their unique gifts in event planning, marketing, and organization.
"I don't want to be the number one person. People don't even need to know that I'm the CEO," she states, emphasizing her desire for God to receive all the praise and glory. This surrender allows others to step into their calling and contribute to a larger, God-ordained vision.
Brittany Wallenhorst's journey is a testament to the transformative power of faith in the marketplace. Her story inspires leaders, entrepreneurs, and growth-minded individuals to integrate their faith into every aspect of their lives, trusting in God's plan and embracing obedience to unlock their full potential and impact the world for His Kingdom.
