When I look back at where I started versus where I am today, it’s hard to separate my growth as a business owner, husband, father, and leader from my involvement in Kingdom Factor. From day one, it’s been part of my journey—and honestly, I can’t imagine leading without it.
I’m the owner of a medical services company in the radiological care space. We’re the world’s first full-service X-ray garment servicing company, based in Indianapolis and now operating in 43—soon to be 44—states. What we do is simple to explain, but incredibly complex to execute.
Protective lead aprons are used every day in hospitals to protect patients and staff from radiation. The surprising truth is that for decades, these garments were rarely cleaned, inspected, repaired, or properly documented. We came in and built a process to clean them, repair them, X-ray them, inventory them, and log everything—helping hospitals become safer, cleaner, and more accountable.
When I first shared the idea, the response was always the same: “I’ve never heard of that before.” And that was the problem—and the opportunity.
I joined Kingdom Factor at the very beginning. As a first-time business owner launching something that had never existed, I had a lot of questions—and not many places to take them.
I had been part of other networking groups before. Some were helpful, some weren’t. But what I knew I needed was different. I needed seasoned professionals from different industries. And more than that, I needed people who were grounded in faith.
I wasn’t interested in advice that cut corners or compromised values. I wanted to surround myself with successful, principled, godly people who would help me grow not just as a CEO, but as a man.
That’s exactly what I found.
“My group—those guys are like brothers now,” I often say. “We text after hours. We text on weekends. We hang out together.”
That kind of relationship doesn’t happen accidentally. It’s built over time, through trust, honesty, and shared experience.
Kingdom Factor hasn’t just shaped how I think—it’s shaped how I lead and how my business operates.
Early on, one of the biggest lessons was around KPIs—key performance indicators. When the team encouraged me to start tracking them, my first thought was, “How do I set KPIs when I’ve never sold this before?”
I was essentially selling the first automobile.
Kingdom Factor walked alongside me as I built pipelines, projections, and systems—helping me move from vision to execution. From equity structures to legal counsel, from HR challenges to key healthcare introductions, the group provided wisdom exactly when I needed it.
I’ve leaned heavily on the group when making difficult people decisions, including letting employees go. I remember wrestling with questions like, “What does this look like legally?” and “What does it look like to let another Christian go?”
Those aren’t textbook questions. They require discernment—and trusted counsel.
One of the most impactful experiences for me wasn’t strictly business-related at all. A Kingdom Factor exercise called Six Months to Live changed how I think about stewardship, responsibility, and family.
Before that, I had a will—locked in a safe, in a binder my attorney gave me. After working through the exercise, I had a real plan.
Now my wife knows everything: account numbers, finances, where the will is, how the house works, where the water main is, how the breaker box functions. No one wants to think about those scenarios—but life happens.
“If it’s my time to see Jesus,” I remember thinking, “I want to know my wife and kids are okay.”
That’s the kind of content that doesn’t just inform—it transforms.
If I had to quantify the impact Kingdom Factor has had on my life, I’d say it’s about 60% personal and 40% business.
My business has absolutely been blessed. But my growth as a husband and father has been even more significant.
I grew up without a dad. I’m learning how to be a father as I go. Walking alongside other men who are further down the road—who are honest about their mistakes and willing to coach me—has been invaluable.
Kingdom Factor doesn’t let you hide. You’re asked real questions:
How’s your home life?
How’s your spiritual life?
How’s your marriage?
Business success means very little if those areas are broken.
I’ll be honest—when I first heard Kingdom Factor required a half day each month, I thought, “That’s crazy.” Now, it’s immovable on my calendar.
Everything else gets scheduled around it.
There are moments—the day before a meeting—when I think, “Man, I’ve got a lot to do.” But without fail, I leave those meetings focused, refreshed, and recharged.
I truly believe God redeems that time.
Now, I often drive home in silence after meetings—just processing everything we worked through. It’s one of the most powerful rhythms of my month.
If you’re a Christian business owner or leader and you’re wondering whether you’re too busy, I’ll tell you this: give it a shot.
Once you experience the community, the support, and the depth of relationship, you’ll wonder how you ever tried to lead without it.
“Why would I want to do this alone,” I often ask, “without godly support from great leaders in the community?”
Kingdom Factor has helped me lead better, live better, and stay grounded in what matters most. For me, it’s not just helpful—it’s essential.
