Unleashing Your Superpower: End The Search For The Secret Sauce!

Listen to this article

The present world in which we live constantly demands our attention, our time, and begs for our action.  We are constantly being stimulated from without.  And most of us learned very young to find our lives in the 'externals' of the world around us.  Some of us are motivated by money and what it affords.  Others are driven toward success, setting the goal, striving towards it, and winning the prize—whether the award, the big contract, or the finished product. We’ve learned to run towards “it”, whatever “it” is.  And we’ve learned to run so hard and so fast that we’ve forgotten how to “be still and know”.  But what if wealth and success are not the fruit of our disciplined striving toward greatness or achievement.  And what if you don’t actually need some magic formula (that only costs $9.99).  Instead, what if the key to true wealth and success, without burnout, is the byproduct of a life fully integrated and rightly aligned with the deepest and truest thing about us?

Most of us have learned compartmentalization, where we consciously or subconsciously default into being one person at home and another at work, still another in this social setting and a different one in that social setting.  We’ve been programmed to choose security over authenticity.  Yes, there’s safety in the herd; there’s strength in the pack.  But what if your greatest superpower in business and in life will never be accessed by adapting to and conforming with all the packs  in which you’re running, and instead springs forth naturally as you make an unwavering commitment to discover and live from who you truly are?

Meet Israel Aloia, founder of IDF Builders and Kingdom Factor coach, whose journey from world missions to the marketplace unveils a profound truth: your superpower is you, but only when you are deeply connected, rightly aligned, and fully integrated.  However, to the degree you are fractured and compartmentalized, this most potent asset of yours is compromised.  Israel’s staunch conviction is that the death and resurrection of the Messiah was less about merely going to Heaven when you die and more about repairing the way for a deep and intimate union with our Creator.  Just as a severed artery not only pours the life-blood onto the ground but also cuts off the flow of vital nutrients and cells designed to nourish, heal, and restore the body, so a repaired communion with the living God, reestablishes the flow of His life into ours, bringing wholeness and restoration on levels otherwise inaccessible—spirit, soul, and body.  This is the bedrock of true integrity.  And for Israel, integrity extends far beyond honesty.

The Path to Integration: Israel's Story

"True integrity is when what you say, what you do, and most importantly, who you are becomes one and the same.  This isn't just a feel-good philosophy; it's tapping into the Source of life and power needed to thrive spiritually, personally, and professionally.  Once accessed," he says, "the potential for it to become as natural as walking is immediate."

As his awareness of the breakdown between our words, our actions, and our identity grew, Israel began to experience an awakening to the consistent factors present when he would have these supercharged experiences.  Israel was touching the substance of his true identity all the while being led by God into alignment with it, tasting an integration that would leave him feeling plugged into something pure, undiluted, and divine.  However, while all this was going on, he found himself entangled in two consecutive business situations marred by dishonesty and an utter lack of integrity, and this from professing Christians.  Left close to ten thousand dollars in the hole, he faced a fork in the road: continue to navigate the marketplace as an employee constantly following those operating in misalignment and low integrity, or yield to the nudge of God's Spirit to follow Him, step up, start his own company, and forge a new path as a leader.

Israel's decision to launch IDF Builders was not merely a business venture; it was a declaration of his commitment to cultivating a culture that authentically expresses God's nature and the values of His Kingdom, along with His personal alignment of Israel with them.  Starting a business is inherently risky, a "leap of faith" as Israel describes it.  But for him, this leap was amplified by a lifelong journey of mission work that hadn't prepared him for the demands of owning and running a business.  Very quickly he realized he had a compartment called "work" that had yet to be integrated into his holistic identity.  In that compartment, there was no God; he felt all alone and that it was all up to him.  The fear that came with this produced a power that drove him toward success.  However, that same force threatened to consume his life, undermining his roles as a husband and father.

This personal struggle became his greatest teacher.  It forced him to confront subconscious beliefs about work, inherited patterns, and the lies he had unknowingly embraced, all of which were keeping God outside of Israel's daily grind.  The challenge was not just about building a productive business and providing for his family, but about building a life where his faith, family, and work were not isolated silos, but interconnected expressions of his true self: a man passionately one with God.

From Compartmentalization to Integration: Living In The Continuous Flow

Israel's advice to fellow entrepreneurs is a powerful call to self-assessment, but not through the lens of the Fall, sin, or our failures.  Second Corinthians 3:18 and James 1:22-25 invite us to take a long look in a mirror but not one that reflects our own image in our shortcomings or misalignment.  Instead, the Spirit of God invites us to see ourselves through Him.  This reveals to us how fractured we are, how much we compartmentalize, how much we are conditioned to adapt our persona to different environments, seeking approval and success by presenting different versions of ourselves.  It's this constant shape-shifting that creates an internal tension, a conflict between the demands of business and the needs of the soul.

The solution, Israel discovered, lies in aligning with your true identity.  He likens this to the difference between a bucket and a hose.  A bucket, no matter how large, eventually empties, leaving you drained and in need of replenishment.  But a hose, connected to a constant water source, remains full.  It refills continuously, receiving as it gives.  When plumbing lines get out of alignment, joints leak and pipes break.  However, as soon as you get things properly aligned, everything can freely flow.  When you operate from a place of true alignment with who God made you to be, your work becomes energizing, not depleting; it flows out of who you are, versus being some thing that you do.

Unleash Your Superpower: Becoming an Integrated Leader

Living from a place of alignment and empowering others to do the same is what makes Israel come alive.  Whether preaching the Gospel, managing a construction project, mountain biking with his son, or snuggling up with wife, this is the essence of his superpower: unbroken union with God!

"It's the connection with our Father in Heaven, in naked and unashamed authenticity, permeating every aspect of our lives and businesses, regardless of context!  That's the 'secret sauce'!  'Abide in Me, and I in you...  He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing' (Jn. 15:4-5)."

Israel's sense of calling into Kingdom Factor is a testament to this value.  As a coach, he leverages this journey, bringing in his love for people, his passion for disciple-making, and his burden for the marketplace, to help business leaders discover 'the abiding Life' Jesus promised.  This paves the way for them to step into their own integrated identity.  His mission is to empower them to face their fears, discard their lies, discover the Truth, step up in Faith, and get genuinely and deeply connected to the Source.

"The impact will follow; it's byproduct.  You dig the well, you strike the fountain, and you can't stop the flow of the water!  It's exhilarating!" he exclaims.  "Your true value to the world around you isn't about what you can produce; it's about the glory of God that is revealed when you live from His unique design.  You are the gift to your family, friends, community, and business.  All the 'false-self' and 'imposter syndrome' stuff is the cheap wrapping paper and the cardboard box that has to be stripped away to get down to the goods!  That's when your true value is unveiled  when this kind of internal integrity allows you to live authentically, lead powerfully, and build a legacy that reflects the image of Christ you were uniquely created to display.  Paul was talking about this very thing when, in Colossians 1:27, he described the riches of the glory of this mystery: Christ in you!  Dare to embark on this journey; it's the only one worth takingevery nickel...every tear...every scar."
