In a world often driven by profit and worldly success, Zion Strong, a dynamic 20-year-old entrepreneur, stands out as a beacon of faith-driven leadership. As the owner and founder of 4Everlasting LLC and Superator INC (Superior, Latin for overcomer), Zion is not just building businesses; he's building a kingdom, one basketball court, one clothing brand, and one life at a time.
Zion's journey is a testament to the power of faith in the face of adversity. His companies, 4Everlasting and Superator, were born from a profound personal experience. Inspired by his late father, who overcame a life-altering poisoning incident to become a national motivational speaker, Zion carries forward a legacy of perseverance. After his father's passing in 2023 and a significant basketball injury that same year, Zion found solace and direction in his faith. He sought God's guidance on how to inspire others to overcome life's challenges, leading to the creation of his businesses, which now renovate basketball courts across Indiana and include a clothing brand.
For Zion, faith isn't just a personal belief; it's the cornerstone of his business operations. He intentionally integrates his faith into every aspect of his companies, from daily meetings to major projects. "We make sure that we pray before we do anything," Zion emphasizes, highlighting a commitment to seeking divine guidance in all endeavors. This includes starting a daily devotion with his partners, a practice he believes is essential because "you can't do business without having God on your side." He sees entrepreneurship as inherently faith-based, requiring constant reliance on God for direction and strength.
Zion's faith has not only guided his daily practices but also shaped critical business decisions, often leading him down paths that diverge from conventional wisdom. A prime example is his experience with hosting basketball tournaments. When local schools in Muncie repeatedly denied his requests to use their facilities, Zion didn't give up. Instead, he sought divine counsel. "God told me, 'Zion, go to the parks,'" he recounts. This led him to Heekin Park, a legendary local park that hadn't hosted a basketball tournament in nearly a decade.
What followed was a powerful demonstration of faith in action. The tournament began with prayer and gospel music, creating an atmosphere that transcended mere competition. The event drew the largest crowd in Heekin Park's recent history, with local vendors selling out. More importantly, it provided an opportunity for many to connect with Christ and witness the power of overcoming challenges through faith. This experience solidified Zion's belief that God can turn obstacles into opportunities for greater impact.
Zion's faith profoundly influences how he allocates his time, talent, and treasure. He views business not merely as a means to accumulate wealth but as a platform for purpose and love. "You can't just be married to money," he states, emphasizing that true value comes from helping others. He sees his work—renovating courts, hosting events—as providing a form of therapy and a safe space for individuals to escape life's difficulties and engage in conversations about faith and personal growth.
His commitment to giving back extends to community initiatives, school visits, and creating opportunities for youth and adults. For Zion, these acts of service are not just good deeds; they are direct expressions of his faith, demonstrating God's love and providing tangible support to those in need. His early start in this mission, as he humbly corrects, is not about age but about the drive and ability to make a difference.
When asked how he would encourage other Christian business leaders, Zion immediately turns to scripture: Matthew 6:33. "Seek ye first the kingdom. Everything's going to happen if you seek the kingdom," he shares, a verse that has transformed his own life and perspective. This principle, which also resonates deeply with Kingdom Factor Collective, underscores the belief that when God's priorities are put first, all other needs and desires will be met.
Zion Strong's journey is a powerful reminder that business can be a ministry, a vehicle for transformation, and a testament to unwavering faith. His story is an inspiration for all who seek to integrate their spiritual convictions with their professional endeavors, proving that with God, all things are possible.
