Ester-Rose Diaz Left the Entertainment Industry to Follow Jesus — and Discovered Her True Calling

Ester-Rose Diaz was living the dream. After a decade in film and television production, she had moved to New York City to chase bigger opportunities in the entertainment capital of the world. She had the skills, the connections, and the momentum. Then her pastor called.

The church back in LA had just purchased a building. They needed someone to build a production team from scratch. And they needed her.

"It was one of those faith moments where you have to leave everything and follow Jesus," Ester-Rose says. "After a lot of prayer, I was like, okay, God, I hear you. This is what you have me to do now."

So she left. Left New York. Left the industry. Left the career she had spent ten years building. She returned to LA to serve her church — not knowing what would come next, only that obedience mattered more than opportunity.

From Scratch to 50: Building a Mega Church Production Team

What started as a leap of faith became a masterclass in leadership and vision. Ester-Rose built the church's production team from the ground up, eventually growing it to 50 members as the church itself grew into a megachurch. She learned to lead with excellence, manage complex systems, and create environments where volunteers could thrive.

But as the team stabilized and the systems ran smoothly, she began to sense a new stirring. "I was like, okay, I have a team now. I feel like I can now decide what to do. What is the next thing that you want me to do? What is it that you really have called me to do?"

She kept praying. Kept asking. And she kept noticing a pattern.

The Need She Couldn't Ignore

Faith-driven entrepreneurs and ministry leaders kept reaching out to her. They had incredible gifts, valuable services, and powerful messages. But their online presence didn't match their calling. Their content was inconsistent. Their visuals were underwhelming. Their message was getting lost in the noise.

"I started to see a need of business owners having really good talent and really good things to do and help people, but their online presence didn't match that," Ester-Rose explains. "I feel like this is what I'm supposed to be doing now."

So she launched Blessed Media — not as a side hustle, but as a full commitment. She gave herself a year to test the vision, to stay consistent, and to see if God would confirm the calling. Two years later, the confirmation is undeniable.

Faith Drives Every Decision

Ester-Rose didn't grow up with a vibrant faith. Raised Catholic, she knew about God but didn't know she could have a relationship with Him. It wasn't until a Christian roommate invited her to church that everything changed.

"I went, and I just never stopped," she says. "After that, I became hungry to read the Word and really learn so much more about spirituality, the Christian atmosphere, and God."

That hunger has never faded. Prayer bookends her day and punctuates every hour in between.

A powerless Christian is a prayerless Christian. That's what my pastor always says. So I have to start my day with prayer, and I have to end my day with prayer, and also really throughout the day.

This prayerful posture isn't just spiritual discipline — it's business strategy. Every client she takes, every service she offers, every decision she makes is filtered through one question: Is this pleasing to God?

"I don't want to waste time. I don't want to be doing something that is me. I want to make sure I'm doing your will and only your will, whatever that looks like," she says.

The Risk of Niching Down to Faith

One of the scariest decisions Ester-Rose made was choosing to focus exclusively on faith-driven clients. The fear was real: What if she was leaving too much opportunity on the table? What if narrowing her market meant limiting her growth?

But she made a choice that most business coaches would affirm and most Christians would respect: she put her faith front and center in her bio and her branding.

"If those words offend you, it's okay for you to say no to me," she explains. "I'm not saying I'm not working with people who are not faith-driven, but it helps bring the right people and eliminate the wrong people."

The result? Clarity. Alignment. And clients who share her values and her vision.

Sowing Seeds, Tilling Soil, Trusting God

Ester-Rose knows that building a business is a long-term game.

You're sowing the seeds, and it's going to take time for those seeds to grow into something that's fruitful. But make sure that you are constantly being consistent at what God has called you to do.

She's lived that truth. She left her career when it didn't make sense. She built a team when she had no blueprint. She launched a business when the path wasn't clear. And every step of the way, she's learned the same lesson: God never wastes anything.

"Saying yes to Him can be hard sometimes, of course," she admits. "We have our moments of like, oh man, here we go. But saying yes to Him is never a bad thing."

Now, through Blessed Media, she helps other faith-driven leaders amplify their message, sharpen their content, and step fully into the calling God has placed on their lives. She's using her gifts to help them share theirs.

Your Move

If you're a Christian entrepreneur struggling to make your online presence match your calling, Ester-Rose has one word for you: consistency.

"Faith without works is dead," she says. "That's actually putting in the work, not just believing in faith, but actually putting in the work."

Don't just believe God has called you. Act like it. Show up. Stay consistent. Keep tilling the soil even when you don't see the harvest yet. Do your part, and let God do His.

Ester-Rose did. And two years later, she's exactly where she's supposed to be.
