Rachel McCants, through Christ, is the visionary behind R. Lindsay Unlimited who shares a profound journey of faith, resilience, and divine purpose. Her story is a testament to how God can transform our greatest crises into our clearest callings, guiding us to impact His kingdom.
Rachel's company, where Jesus is the CEO and she is simply the founder, was born from a pivotal moment in 2016 when she was diagnosed with a Grade III brain tumor. "Everything stopped," she recounts. In the quiet, dependent space of surgeries, treatments, and absolute reliance on God, she realized, "He really had to physically break me to help me and get me on the path that He wanted me to be on." It was during this season, while attending a young adult program, that God gave her a literal vision of how her story and gifts were to be used.
This divine clarity led Rachel to writing, speaking, and creating content aimed at empowering ladies to understand their identity in Christ. Her work, including the book Ladies As We Love Ourselves: A 6-Step Program to Self-Worth and her encouraging "Early Mornings with a Dose of Jesus" (EMDJ) sessions, all stem from this period of intense personal transformation. The mission of R. Lindsay Unlimited is clear: to inspire and empower ladies to raise their self-worth and standards, to not settle, and to walk in God's will in every aspect of their lives. Ultimately, Rachel aims to "restore the Christianity name, really Christ's name, make it great again," counteracting the negative perceptions often associated with it.
Rachel's faith isn't just a part of her business; it's the foundation of her daily operations. "Prayer, ultimately, is first and foremost," she emphasizes. Her morning routine begins with thanking Jesus and asking Him to be the Author of her day and time. Every project, meeting, and launch is bathed in prayer. In moments of conflict, she leans on forgiveness, patience, and humility, striving to embody the principles of being "HOT".....humble, honest, and transparent, a teaching from Pastor Michael Todd.
When asked for specific examples of faith guiding her business decisions, Rachel points back to her brain tumor journey. God's intervention led her to Christian entrepreneurial businesses, and her consistent early morning devotionals evolved into "Early Mornings with a Dose of Jesus." She started this initiative before feeling fully ready because God revealed the urgent need through conversations with ladies seeking to deepen their walk with Christ. Her advice: "Wake up early and start with Him."
Rachel's approach to investing her time, talent, and resources is rooted in James 2:17: "Faith, without works, is dead." She consistently asks God to guide her time, praying for Him to author her day. Regarding her talents, she seeks divine direction, asking, "What do You have me to do here?" Her word for the year, "intentional," reflects her commitment to listening to the Holy Spirit and being available for His work.
For other Christian business leaders, Rachel offers a powerful piece of advice: "Trust God every step of the way." She recounts how during her brain tumor journey, God was "100 million steps ahead of me." In the face of countless unknowns, she never received a bill for her brain surgery, chemo, or radiation, and was accepted into Social Security on her first application. "God can do it. He will do it. So have faith."
Her story is a vivid reminder that when we surrender to God's plan, His provision and guidance are limitless. "Don't limit God; don't limit the Holy Spirit."
